Hi,
I'm new to the list.
Recently I installed a fresh installation with postfix and clamav-milter and debian testing:
Versions installed:
ii clamav 0.98.4+dfsg-2+b1 amd64 anti-virus utility for Unix - command-line interface
ii clamav-base 0.98.4+dfsg-2 all anti-virus utility for Unix - base package
ii clamav-daemon 0.98.4+dfsg-2+b1 amd64 anti-virus utility for Unix - scanner daemon
ii clamav-freshclam 0.98.4+dfsg-2+b1 amd64 anti-virus utility for Unix - virus database update utility
ii clamav-milter 0.98.4+dfsg-2+b1 amd64 anti-virus utility for Unix - sendmail integration
ii libclamav6 0.98.4+dfsg-2+b1 amd64 anti-virus utility for Unix - library
Sometiems (about 1-10 times a day) I get the following error in my logfile:
...
Aug 21 15:26:09 mil2 clamav-milter[26215]: Failed to create temporary file
Aug 21 15:26:09 mil2 clamav-milter[26215]: Failed to initiate streaming/fdpassing
...
It seems that clamav-milter sometimes isn't able to create a the temporary file and postfix answers with a
"4.7.1 Service unavailable" message to the client.
I'm using a tmpfs for /tmp with about 1G of space which isnt very much in use.
...
none tmpfs 1,0G 0 1,0G 0% /tmp
...
This as I just said happens not very often and isn't a big problem, but it isn't very nice to see
Have you any idea what this problem could be or how can I solve it?
Many thanks
Urban Loesch
