[clamav-users] Error message "outdated version" although "yum list installed" reports correct version of clamav

Ok, I swtiched ... now using epel.
Added another user to the password file
clamav:x:3456:3456:ClamAntiVirus:/var/clamav:/sbin/nologin
# added this one before installing epel clamav
clam:x:3456:3456:ClamAntiVirus:/var/clamav:/sbin/nologin
and it worked without much fiddling....
