You were absolutely correct. I uninstalled clamav and the rc.clamav
file and indeed the error remained.

Yes i do - for Claws-Mail to automatically scan emails and attachments.

Thanks a lot for that good idea; i'll memorize it for - eventual other
troubles ;)
(I'm new to slackware, so, for me, it's the other way around,
obviously: i came there because of systemd troubles which comprimzed the
setup of one of my machines - a linux hostic samsung laptop ;) )

I guess, in the dark, there might be timing problems while the system
is waiting for the return value of the daemon. (I can break it in any
case by ctrl+z and go thru to start X)

Sorry for that. I don't know how. Even though, now it's only
theoretical: It would be good to know: Could i attach something to a
mail to the list?
