my freshclam script on the local mirror  manages to download
bytecode.cvd
daily.cld
main.cvd
from the internet.

notice the middle one is cld, not v.

my mirror does the right things and puts those files in a place
where the web server serves them.
i can wget all of the files from my local mirror.

but the end users claim that their updates are failing.
online, it seems that i can only download the v versions of
those files.  online, people are claiming you only need the l or v,
not both.  the users think they need (main|daily).(cld|cvd), all four files.

what's the truth?  how do i get all four, or the four that i need?

should i kill off the daily.cld and hope that the cvd version is
downloaded next time?

i don't see where the list of files to be downloaded is kept.
