[clamav-users] clamav-virusdb on lurker

Thanks for getting back to me.

Yes, I’m getting all the e-mail so I am confident there is nothing currently wrong with that, just that lurker isn’t always getting them.

I’m sure you’ve checked already, and they did resume after I sent my initial message, but in addition to the two already mentioned it’s missing 19957-61, 64, 65, 69, 70, 73 and 76-78.

I get most of the information I need to help users from sigtool and the ClamAV Virus Database Search site, but there are two occasions when lurker becomes very important.

- When I need to know when a particular signature was added to the database and it’s source.  Searching through a mailbox full of e-mail messages just isn’t practical.  Knowing this information goes a long way toward helping determine the possibility of a false positive from a recently added signature and may point me to where I can find added information about that specific infection (e.g. virustotal.com analysis).

- When I get feedback from you all on a sample or FP that I’ve submitted, I’m directed to a lurker posting.  The last one I received was not there.

In addition to missing dailies, I’m also seeing sporadic issues with search results not coming back.  In fact, it’s not working for me as I write this.
