These clamav and RHEL versions are both well out of date. There have
been numerous security / crash fixes since then.

Your first step should be to update to current versions, then report
back if you still see the problem.

Bugs.

A virus scanner is handling malicious files *in normal operation*
so you really should keep on top of security fixes for it.
