If this was designed to make me think people are upset by my negative 
feedbacks about Clam signatures then you have failed.  I am more than 
happy to tell people I am majorly disappointed (at best) about them and 
that people that THINK they are protecting their systems are leaving 
themselves wide open to infection based on a false security belief.  I 
am not the one to feel guilty about this being said, but those that lead 
the public to the contrary should feel guilty for giving out their false 
securities (selling Clam sigs as being safe and reliable) they give out.

I rarely reply to messages on the mail list and if I do it was/is/always 
will be (probably) including along the lines of "dont trust clam sigs 
alone, use third party to be safe".  And you KNOW that I am not the only 
ones that knows this. (A search of the archives will show you many if 
you have forgotten (by choice or otherwise) other postings of similar 
sentiment).  And if one person hears this, and consequently subscribes 
to safer, more reliable 3rd party signatures (such as Sane), then I 
consider my words HELPFUL and a job done.

The only other times I have had anything to say is when you have 
released untested any destructive signatures (such as last month, and 
February last year) that do the opposite and identify a vast array of 
false positives simply because the signature hasnt been tested in the 
first place (and it takes days of complaining by many before anyone 
listens to get it actually removed).  Surely, you're not complaining 
about me being unhappy that your signatures are killing my system too, 
are you?!

People are allowed to decide for themselves what software they want to 
use, postings they want read, and opinions they want believe or 
disregard.  Dont forget:  I am PROMOTING the use of ClamAV software (by 
telling them to use it with additional signatures) so be happy, 
grateful, open your eyes, and see things for what they are and stop 
defending the undefendable wasting mailing list and peoples time with 
carrying on with such off topic 'arguments'  Tip: Just let it go.

ClamAV is great....(with use 3rd Party signatures!)

(p.s Of course, if you want to go all communist and only allow POSITIVE 
FEEDBACK postings saying how great Clam is, and disallow anything bad to 
be written, then make this very clear on your Mailing List Rules of 
Contribution.  I will of course dutifully adhere.....and move my 
warnings to other internet blogs and postings.
