Hello Stefan,

Please refer to this discussion: https://lists.archive.carbon60.com/clamav/users/79500?search_string=clamonacc;#79500

We’ve also included a similar clamav-clamonacc.service.in file for 0.103 as well, inspired by Aaron Brighton’s good work. If anyone is up for testing the 0.103 release candidate, I would love your feedback: https://github.com/Cisco-Talos/clamav-devel/blob/dev/0.103/clamonacc/clamav-clamonacc.service.in

Regards,
Micah

Subject: [clamav-users] clamonacc - manual start only?

Hello,

I am trying to adapt my old clamd-on-access-scanning setup to the current versions of clamd.
According to the documentation, clamonacc needs to be started manually. This is of course not a viable solution for running clamav on a virtualized server. Has anyone written a systemd or any other kind of script which starts clamonacc after the clamd socket becomes available? I want to avoid inventing the wheel twice.

Yours sincerely
Stefan Malte Schumacher
