Hello Arjen,
thank you so much for your reply,
> Your system is running out of memory.
O.K., that´s the explanation then.
Running BodhiLinux in a VM (qemu/kvm) I originally assigned 1 GB of
virtual RAM to it.
I changend that to 2 GB and now indeed clamdscan and clamscan work:
clamdscan EICAR-Testdatei.txt
/home/rosika2/Dokumente/kgw/EICAR-Testdatei.txt: Eicar-Signature FOUND
----------- SCAN SUMMARY -----------
Infected files: 1
Time: 0.044 sec (0 m 0 s)
AND:
clamscan ./EICAR-Testdatei.txt
./EICAR-Testdatei.txt: Eicar-Signature FOUND
----------- SCAN SUMMARY -----------
Known viruses: 6930494
Engine version: 0.102.2
Scanned directories: 0
Scanned files: 1
Infected files: 1
Data scanned: 0.00 MB
Data read: 0.00 MB (ratio 0.00:1)

Thanks a lot again for your help.
Greetings.
Rosika
