[clamav-users] Let's try an Artifactory thread again

Artifactory has, as part of its functionality, the ability to cache
remote (internet) data. Hey, let's use that to reduce the traffic to
database.clamav.net!

Artifactory is not technically what you'd consider an "HTTP caching
proxy" because each thing requiring caching has its own URL. That is, an
internal cache of recently requested CentOS RPMs might live at
https://our-artifactory.company.com/artifactory/centos-remote and Ubuntu
.deb packages might live at
https://our-artifactory.company.com/artifactory/ubuntu-remote and a set
of generic files might get cached at
https://our-artifactory.company.com/artifactory/some-internet-site-remote

Has anyone successfully configured freshclam to reference an
company-internal Artifactory repository?

Re: https://www.clamav.net/documents/private-local-mirrors,
HTTPProxyServer won't work for the Artifactory goal. Artifactory is not
a real HTTP proxy server in the way meant.

What type of value does "PrivateMirror" take? The documentation is not
clear and the default just shows an example of a hostname. Can it be a
full URL?
