[clamav-users] what initiates freshclam?

I'm guessing OEL is Oracle Enterprise Linux, an RHEL derivative.

The default Clam packages install /etc/cron.d/clamav-update from the 
clamav-update RPM. But you can disable that and use the systemd timer 
services, instead.
